Deconstructed Earth
Robin Dale
Medium: acrylic on canvas
Ngoorlak, cocky, rainbird - the screeching icon of the Australian bush. One hundred to one hundred and twenty years must elapse before suitable breeding hollows exist in eucalyptus trees .Less than one hundred years ago huge flocks blackened the skies returning to forests of Wandoo, Salmon gums , Dryandra , Grevillea and gum blossom. Now, man's relentless conquest blackens the earth. My painting represents a landscape on fire, with cockatoos in directionless panic circling with erratic inconsequence . This is Deconstructed Earth - a painting without green .
