Fur And Claws
Medium: oils on porcelain
I am a keen proponent of many forms of art, including the ancient art of oils on porcelain surfaces. These are kiln fired to a temperature of approx 800*c between layers, each successive layer of the subject built up to reflect the layers of life and form. In this case, I have attempted to bring to life the dignity and mystery of big cats from the wild, in a triptych of fur and claws.
