Real and imagined. In our predominantly flat state, any hill, rise or range adds an dynamic view of our landscape. In "Journey", this ascending structure is part of the Stirling ranges. As a midwest wheatbelt child, visiting the Great Southern was a time of great adventure. The ranges appeared to be massive mountains, full of mystery, intrigue and legend. Revisiting as an adult, I was thrown back to these feelings, experiencing the wonder and sheer age of the many peaks of Koikyennuruff.
