Medium: recycled card collage
I have always loved creating since I was little. I also teach Visual art and one of the biggest highlights each year is the open night exhibition. Recently I have wanted to practice my own craft and exhibit. A crazy dream that has developed into wonderful new endeavours. We never had a lot of money growing up and up cycling was common practice in our home. That idea of one man's trash is another man's treasure has always resonated with me. This piece is made from recycled cardboard packaging that has been hand cut and reimagined into an artwork. Finding colours on packaging has become a game for myself and friends. My work is very textural because I enjoy engaging with the audience.
