Pink Hills is laced with the memory of painting in the landscape (McDonald Ranges NT) and being deeply moved by its grandeur. Witnessing the magic of luminescent transformations at dusk and the fading softness as the light and shadow envelope the ancient rock formations is something equivalent to a sacred or spiritual experience. I aim for levels of subtlety in the faint pearl like scatting of dots and for the eye to find pools of darkness and light radiating around merging hills. A reverence is shown for the overlayed history and significant power this land holds.
