Medium: airbrush acrylic
Having a strong appreciation of nature, I use a realist style to create Australian wildlife scenes to promote their care and conservation. Birds are a favourite.
While often using photos for reference, I paint to go beyond a mere replication of them. I want to capture the character, the heart and soul of an animal in their environment.
In this scene I'd like to highlight the plight of the Pilbara Wedge tailed Eagle, whose main cause of death is road collision. I pray they will one day rise again!
My main goal in painting is to turn people’s eyes to the wonder of creation; see the design, the detail, and the beauty in the natural world. Be in awe of the Master Artist (not me btw).
