Sadler Jennifer
Medium: wax and mixed media on paper, mounted on board
My work explores themes of memory, connection and sensory experience through the subject of landscape. In current work, I apply the processes of painting, encaustic and mark making, delving further into abstraction whilst retaining a connection to the terrestrial landscape. This piece is inspired by the markings of wear and deterioration viewed on a humble skip bin. I was drawn to the abstract rust lines and composition that had emerged on the sides of the bin.
