To say ‘what my art is about’ is possibly a routine description for most artists. However I have been on a strange journey for the last decade.
About 10 years ago, I moved to Busselton leaving my home in Perth where I taught adult Aboriginal students studying Art at Curtin University. Not long after moving south, I experienced a severe motor cycle accident and I had to re-discover the artist I once was.
The environment here was new and enriching with a huge diversity. I have to capture the smell, touch and luscious language of roses and interpret the landscape in resin. I now find everything alive and fresh and it inspires me to create.
