Tucker's Table
John Eden
Medium: oil, acrylic and charcoal on board
I found this burnt table top in the bush near Mount Gungin, looking like a head from an Albert Tucker painting. I have copied the table realistically and actual size. This piece is one of many such works I have made from found objects when exploring. Each has a history, an unknowable narrative. How many human interactions have occurred around this object? And how did it end up here and not on the tip? Nature attempted to turn it into ash. I turned it into this.
